Wheelchair Access Options
There are advantages and disadvantages of all types of lift, an inboard lift can work out slightly less costly than an underfloor lift and they are easier to keep clean and maintain however you do sacrifice quite a bit of space in the rear of the vehicle.
If you are looking for ease of use we recommend an underfloor lift, these are most popular among our customers due to the convenience of it being ‘out the way’. They are extremely easy to operate and are hidden underneath the rear of the vehicle, there are varying platform sizes depending on your model.
A ramp is probably the least popular option due to the manual operation required. This may be a good option for a vehicle that would only need to assist entrance of wheelchairs occasionally. They are also stored inside the vehicle which may also mean losing a row of seats.
